5 desert Island discs

  1. 1.Bob Marley and the wailers - Legend. This is a Collection of great Bob Marley Tunes. A great artist and band all the songs have something important to say be it political or religious, he was a spokesman for a generation. The bass lines on all his tracks are awesome and it just a really uplifting album to listen to.
  2. 2.Jamiroquai - High Times. This is a collection of Jamiroquai singles from 1992-2006. A great collection of funky disco tunes. Jay Kay's voice is great the bass lines are funky and fun to play. The lyrical content is also quite diverse he also has a message in his songs. I also really enjoy the different bass sounds and effects used on this album.
  3. 3.Bad Company - Inside the Machine One of the first drum and bass albums I heard it's a dark atmospheric album. This CD pretty much got me into drum and bass genre, so it has a lot to answer for really. Although the kick drum sounds in my opinion, are on some songs terrible, for nostalgia purposes it has to be in this collection of CDs.
  4. 4.Scar Symmetry - Pitch Black Progress An album I really enjoy listening to. Really good songs, all really diverse with guitar solo's that fit the songs and actually have something to say, rather than just being put in for the sake of it. The vocalist has an amazing voice too going from ridiculous deep guttural growls to high soaring melodies. I have yet to see them live but if he can pull it off I may have to do a little sex wee.
  5. 5.Pantera Cowboys From Hell When I was young boy just getting into metal, I heard this album and thought it was the heaviest thing I was ever going to hear. Phil's vocals are awesome Dimebag's riffs amazing. A really heavy album that made me want to play loud energetic music.

Personal Bio & How you came to be in FN:

I started playing classical guitar when I was aged 11. After a couple of years I started playing Electric guitar and then a few years after that I decided to start playing bass. Through my teenage years I played in a few local bands Carbon, Enmity, and Ill Logic. All three bands had quite big local followings and supported many of the bigger names on the metal scene at the time such as, Lost Prophets, Breed 77, Vacant Stare, Earthtone 9, Orange Goblin, Iron Monkey etc. At the time of playing with Ill Logic I decided to go to university to study for my degree in music. It was during this time on a random drunken night out I met Renny in a club (my life would never be the same again). We talked about forming a band and about two years after that we finally had a line up we were pleased with, however this line up would change yet again over the next few years.

Favourite Film: Fight Club

Favourite TV Shows: South Park, Family Guy, American Dad, The Office, Peep Show, Nathan Barley, Mighty Boosh, Alan Partridge, Green Wind etc.

Pet Hate: Dopey C***'S who support us at shows and turn up with nothing other than a guitar or a pair of drum sticks, expecting to borrow ALL of our back line including our heads, snare, cymbals etc. The answer is NO!!! I'm sorry if this sounds harsh but we are a professional touring band, we don't make a lot of money and if you blow up or break our equipment then we're screwed- Not you- US. You can bumble off home back to school, college, or your crappy nine to five and not give it a seconds thought, while we're the one's left on the road with a bunch of gigs ahead of us with broken equipment and no money to sort out the problem.

Drink of Choice: JD Coke

Favourite FN song to listen to: Closer- you'll hear it soon. It's Mega

Favourite FN song to play live: Drowning, Better the Epic

Most memorable show to date: All of the stone Sour tour- great times.
